3D fancy turntable - Mechameleon 02

2013-05-12 12:39:14 by Shi-Gu

I did a thing... a 3D thing ;D

Reason I'm not submitting it to the portal is because it is too short and most of the time people here on NG tend to vote negatively on pretty short stuff; besides, I don't think a turntable is actual portal material.

Will you start in 2014 on Wrath of Shadow Ep.9?

Shi-Gu responds:

I seriously doubt it.
Got a lot of other projects, original ones, two jobs, and plans for studying in the future, so I have no time for Wrath of Shadow, besides, starting to animate all those sprites all over again is kind of an overwhelming thought and it kind of takes away my desire to keep this on going.

It was easy to work on sprite movies when in secondary school, back when I didn't care about homework and being on my home meant I had full time to do whatever I wanted. Growing up sucks.

I would kill for a full sized image of your sub-avatar.

Shi-Gu responds:

:0 what would you want that for?

The full sized version is on my deviantART, you could look around

Check one of my files projects. I made an interactive turnable loading a image sequence. And to extra content i made different poses. I think the flash is called Hamal 3d model or someshit like that. In the description i added the link where i found the script for flash to do that turneable preview.

Your modeling looks really good

Shi-Gu responds:

Fun fact: I already had that submission you mention in my favourites since a few years ago!
Thanks so much for the advice! it's so interesting, I might do something similar to what you did.

I really wish to see wrath of shadow ep.9!

Shi-Gu responds:

Yeah, I know, and I believe I've already told you, but right now and for some time I won't be able to work on that, at least not until 2014

Thats some sexy lighting/modeling

Shi-Gu responds:

Wooo, it's awesome.

As a wannabe 3D artist, I can just imagine the amount of work that lies behind this thing. What program did you use to make it?

Shi-Gu responds:

Thanks a lot!
I was a wannabe 3D artist a few months ago too!
I used Autodesk Maya 2011; it didn't take THAT MUCH work to do since it has no rig or actual animation besides lighting and camera movements.

I'll do something much more complex next time :D
